Our Pastor

Robert W. Martin is pastor of the Voice of Pentecost in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he has served since 1991. He has brought his unique vision and heart of grace to a broken congregation, lifting them up with his heartfelt, loving ministry of grace and new beginnings. Under his ministry, the Voice of Pentecost has become a refuge and healing station for all.
Pastor Martin is a well-known minister and leader. Elected General Superintendent of the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ in 2007, he previously served the organization as Assistant General Superintendent (2001-2007) and as General Youth President (1987-2001).
Pastor Martin is a frequent conference and camp speaker and has traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad sharing the Gospel. His ministry has blessed and helped multitudes around the world.
A former teacher, Pastor Martin received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Northeast Louisiana University (now University of Louisiana – Monroe). He is married to Alison Fontenot Martin, and they have three precious children – Alec, Noah and Myla.
Pastor’s Family
Pastor Martin and his lovely, dedicated wife Alison make a great ministry team at the Voice of Pentecost. Alison is involved in teaching Sunday School, singing in the praise chorale, and leading the Ladies’ Ministry (TULIPS). They have three wonderful children – Alec, Noah, and Myla.
